About The Position

Medical Equipment Technicians deliver, set up, and pick up durable medical equipment (DME) and pharmaceuticals for home care customers within an assigned geographical area. They educate patients on equipment use, coordinate daily routes and stops with the Dispatch Coordinator, complete related paperwork, maintain an assigned vehicle, and participate in a scheduled on-call rotation.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited high school or have a GED equivalent.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Have an excellent driving record.
Have excellent communication and customer relations skills.
Have excellent interpersonal and organizational skills and be a team player.
Maintain a clean and neat personal appearance.
Be in good physical condition and able to lift 100 pounds.
Pass the Human Performance Evaluation (HPE) test.

Responsibilities

Determine the best daily delivery and pickup route with the Dispatch Coordinator and communicate when each stop is complete.
Verify and load staged orders according to work orders, and unload picked-up equipment at the end of the route.
Provide courteous customer orientation and instruction on proper equipment use, and work with customers to resolve problems.
Complete delivery and pickup paperwork promptly and accurately, and return it to the appropriate facility personnel.
Perform daily maintenance on the assigned vehicle.
Participate in the scheduled on-call rotation.
Perform other duties as assigned.
