Delivery Driver - Part Time
About The Position
As a Delivery Driver for Omnicare Pharmacy, you will deliver prescription orders and/or products to customers on a predetermined route and schedule in a company-provided vehicle. You will help ensure medication needs and regulatory compliance standards are met for patients, maintain ethical conduct and patient confidentiality, and use a customer-service mindset to support pharmacy workstations and tasks so prescriptions can be filled promptly, safely, and accurately. The position is part-time, with anticipated hours of 29 per week. The typical pay range is $16.00–$23.56 per hour. Benefits may vary based on hours worked and eligibility. Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Geographical knowledge of the service area.
- Flexibility to work nights and weekends.
- Current, valid driver’s license in the state, at the level required for the vehicle’s operation.
- Ability to drive for long periods of time.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience as a Delivery Driver.
- Previous driving experience, such as as a limo driver, taxi or bus driver, courier, or gig-economy worker.
Responsibilities
- Deliver medication, equipment, products, and/or supplies accurately and on time to long-term care facilities or patients’ homes.
- Load products and materials.
- Maintain the vehicle and alert management to maintenance issues.
- Comply with applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
- Maintain high professional and ethical standards.
- Follow applicable government regulations, including HIPAA, to protect patient confidentiality.
- Manage assigned pharmacy workstations and tasks to support prompt, safe, and accurate prescription fulfillment.
