About The Position

Precision Industrial Manufacturing is hiring for a Delivery Driver that is a professional and responsible person for transporting steel components, materials, and products from the fabrication facility to construction sites, warehouses, or other designated locations. A Steel Fabrication Delivery Driver for Precision Industrial Manufacturing plays a critical role in ensuring the integrity and reliability of precision components as they move from the manufacturing facility to their intended destinations. This role demands attention to detail, adherence to strict quality standards, and effective communication with both manufacturing and receiving teams.

Requirements

  • Must be competent at operating a forklift and an overhead crane.
  • Must be professional and responsible.
  • Must adhere to all safety regulations and industry standards, especially those related to the transportation of industrial materials.
  • Must maintain accurate and detailed documentation related to each delivery.
  • Must keep open lines of communication with the precision industrial manufacturing team.
  • Must adhere to strict schedules.
  • Must interact with clients or recipients in a professional and customer-friendly manner.
  • Must be willing to work in fabrication shop when there are no deliveries.

Responsibilities

  • Transporting high-quality steel fabrications.
  • Conducting visual inspections before loading and upon unloading to identify any potential damage or deviations from the required specifications.
  • Loading and unloading of truck.
  • Collaborating with the manufacturing team to ensure that precision components are securely packaged to prevent any damage or deformation during transportation.
  • Maintaining accurate and detailed documentation related to each delivery, including itemized lists of components, quality control reports, and any specific instructions for handling or installation.
  • Keeping open lines of communication with the precision industrial manufacturing team to address any concerns, provide feedback on transportation challenges, and coordinate delivery schedules effectively.
  • Adhering to tight delivery schedules. Timely deliveries are essential to minimize downtime in production.
