About The Position

Precision Industrial Manufacturing is hiring for a Delivery Driver that is a professional and responsible person for transporting steel components, materials, and products from the fabrication facility to construction sites, warehouses, or other designated locations. A Steel Fabrication Delivery Driver for Precision Industrial Manufacturing plays a critical role in ensuring the integrity and reliability of precision components as they move from the manufacturing facility to their intended destinations. This role demands attention to detail, adherence to strict quality standards, and effective communication with both manufacturing and receiving teams.

Responsibilities

  • Transporting high-quality steel fabrications, which may require careful handling and specialized packaging.
  • Conducting visual inspections before loading and upon unloading to identify any potential damage or deviations from required specifications.
  • Loading and unloading of truck, and collaborating with the manufacturing team to ensure secure packaging of precision components.
  • Maintaining accurate and detailed documentation related to each delivery, including itemized lists of components, quality control reports, and specific handling instructions.
  • Keeping open lines of communication with the precision industrial manufacturing team to address concerns, provide feedback on transportation challenges, and coordinate delivery schedules.
  • Adhering to tight delivery schedules to minimize downtime in production.
  • Operating a forklift and an overhead crane.
  • Adhering to all safety regulations and industry standards, especially those related to the transportation of industrial materials.
  • Interacting with clients or recipients of the precision components in a professional and customer-friendly manner.
  • Working in the fabrication shop when there are no deliveries.
