About The Position

The Delivery Driver delivers pizzas within a designated delivery area and also helps with in-store duties. The role includes customer interaction, taking and processing orders, preparing products, stocking ingredients, taking inventory, completing paperwork, and cleaning equipment and the facility. Domino’s provides training in deliveries, pizza making, and other store tasks. The role may offer opportunities to progress into management or franchise ownership.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Friendly, positive attitude and great customer service skills.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Reliable vehicle for deliveries.
• Proof of car insurance.
• Safe driving record meeting company standards.
• Navigational skills to read a map, locate addresses in the designated delivery area, and navigate adverse terrain, including multi-story buildings.
• Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly; a calculator may be used.
• Ability to make correct monetary change.
• Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
• Motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers to make precise movements rapidly and accurately.
• Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
• Ability to direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work alone and with others, work under stress, meet quality-control standards, deal with people, analyze and compile data, and make judgments and decisions.
• Ability to differentiate between hot and cold surfaces.
• Ability to lift and carry deliveries weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to perform the listed physical tasks, including standing, walking short distances, pushing or pulling trays, occasional stair or ladder use, bending, crouching, reaching, and continuous hand use.

Responsibilities

• Deliver pizzas within the designated delivery area, potentially making several deliveries per shift.
• Operate all equipment.
• Stock ingredients from the delivery area to storage, the work area, and the walk-in cooler.
• Prepare products.
• Receive and process telephone orders.
• Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
• Clean equipment and the facility approximately daily.
• Communicate with customers and co-workers to process orders over the phone and in person.
• Unload bulk product deliveries using a hand truck.
• Assist with other in-store duties as needed.
