About The Position
The Delivery Driver performs general restaurant duties involving operating equipment; stocking and rotating ingredients from delivery to storage, work areas, or walk-in coolers; preparing products; receiving and processing telephone and internet orders; counting inventory and completing paperwork; and cleaning equipment and the facility. On-the-job training includes customer service orientation, an interactive computer program, and hands-on practice. The role requires communicating with customers and coworkers by phone and in person, safely driving a personal vehicle to deliver products, navigating roads and maps, and handling delivery-site terrain and stairs while carrying products. The driver must also perform basic arithmetic accurately to provide correct monetary change, with a calculator permitted.
Requirements
- Ability to comprehend and communicate verbally and in writing with customers and coworkers over the phone and in person.
- Ability to safely drive a personal vehicle.
- Ability to navigate roads and maps, adverse terrain, and delivery-site stairs while carrying products.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately to make correct monetary change; a calculator may be used.
