About The Position

The Delivery Driver delivers products by car to customers’ doors within a designated delivery area and may deliver flyers and door hangers. Drivers may make several deliveries per shift and must navigate addresses, private homes, multi-story buildings, and other delivery sites, including adverse terrain and stairs. The role also includes general store team-member duties such as operating equipment, stocking ingredients and supplies, preparing products, receiving and processing telephone orders, taking inventory, completing paperwork, and cleaning equipment and the facility. On-the-job orientation and training are provided. The position offers a flexible schedule and opportunities for advancement, including into management.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must have a valid driver's license and a safe driving record that meets company standards.
Must have access to an insured vehicle that can be used for delivery.
Must be able to read maps and locate addresses within the designated delivery area.
Must be able to navigate adverse terrain, including multi-story buildings, private homes, and other delivery sites.
Must be able to comprehend and give correct written instructions and communicate verbally with customers and co-workers by phone and in person.
Must be able to perform basic arithmetic accurately and quickly and make correct monetary change.
Must have verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
Must have motor coordination to make precise movements quickly and accurately and be able to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
Must be able to meet the physical demands of the role, including standing, walking, lifting, carrying, pushing, reaching, bending, crouching, and climbing.
Must be able to work alone and with others, perform repetitive tasks, work under stress, meet quality standards, and make judgments and decisions.

Responsibilities

Deliver products by car to customers’ doors within the designated delivery area.
Deliver flyers and door hangers.
Navigate to addresses using maps and other navigational skills, including multi-story buildings and adverse terrain.
Operate store equipment and stock ingredients from the delivery area into storage, work areas, and the walk-in cooler.
Prepare products and receive and process telephone orders.
Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
Clean equipment and the facility approximately daily.
Carry pizzas and beverages while walking or climbing during deliveries.
