About The Position
The Delivery Driver delivers products to customers safely and courteously while following traffic laws, company safety procedures, and customer-service standards. Drivers must know the delivery area, make a cash drop after each delivery, and never carry more than $20.00 on a delivery. They must keep their vehicle safe and well maintained and have the required delivery equipment ready before starting work. The role also assists with store operations, including answering phones, making pizzas, preparing and stocking food and beverage items, folding and boxing materials, distributing coupons, cleaning surfaces and floors, and performing other maintenance as directed by the manager. Drivers are expected to maintain company image standards and handle customer concerns with grace and congeniality.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age.
- Have a valid driver's license and a safe driving record that meets company standards.
- Provide a safe, well-maintained vehicle with proper insurance coverage.
- Have no more than two driving violations in the past two years.
- Pass a background check.
- Have a positive attitude and maintain a good vehicle and personal image.
- Be able to read a map.
Responsibilities
- Deliver products safely and courteously, following traffic laws and the company-approved safe delivery program.
- Know the delivery area and make a cash drop after every delivery; never carry more than $20.00 while on a delivery.
- Wear a seat belt while driving and notify the safety hotline and the owner and/or supervisor if pressured to drive unsafely.
- Maintain a good driving record and immediately inform the manager of any changes to it.
- Prepare for deliveries by having a full tank of gas, full uniform, a cartop lighted after dark, and a safe, well-maintained vehicle.
- Provide a positive customer experience, handle concerns graciously, and follow company policies, standards, and image requirements.
- Assist with store operations, including answering phones, making pizzas, preparing and stocking the makeline and soda cooler, folding boxes, preparing coupons, cleaning, and other maintenance assigned by the manager.
- Read a map.
- Assist with lifting or carrying heavy items when requested.
