About The Position
Domino’s Pizza is hiring delivery drivers to deliver food within a designated area. The role offers a flexible schedule and opportunities for advancement, including progression into management or franchise ownership. Orientation and training are provided on the job. Drivers deliver pizzas and other products by car and to customers’ doors, and may also deliver flyers and door hangers. Team members perform general store duties such as operating equipment, stocking ingredients, and preparing products. The work involves customer and coworker communication, order processing, and physical tasks including carrying, walking, climbing stairs, and handling supplies. Drivers may make several deliveries per shift.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record meeting company standards.
- Access to an insured vehicle that can be used for delivery.
- Navigational skills to read maps and locate addresses within the designated delivery area.
- Ability to navigate adverse terrain, including multi-story buildings, private homes, and other delivery sites while carrying products.
- Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions and communicate verbally with customers and coworkers.
- Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic accurately and quickly, and make correct monetary change.
- Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
- Ability to carry pizzas and beverages, walk and climb stairs, and perform the physical tasks described in the posting.
- Ability to direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work independently and with others, work under stress, meet quality standards, and make judgments and decisions.
Responsibilities
- Deliver pizzas and other products by car within the designated delivery area and to customers’ doors.
- Deliver flyers and door hangers.
- Read maps, locate delivery addresses, and navigate delivery sites, including adverse terrain and multi-story buildings.
- Operate store equipment, stock ingredients and supplies, and prepare products.
- Process customer orders by phone and in person, including entering orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
- Handle monetary transactions and provide correct change.
- Unload and move bulk deliveries and supplies, including using a hand truck.
- Perform other store tasks such as removing trash and maintaining work areas.
