About The Position

The Delivery Driver is responsible for loading, securing the load, and unloading merchandise from loading docks and delivery trucks at specified locations. This role involves pre-inspection of the truck before departure, planning routes, and meeting delivery times. The driver will also maintain accurate documentation of all shipments and ensure loads reach their destination by the outlined time. This position requires the ability to quickly gain knowledge of merchandise and documents used in the store-to-store transfer process, as well as third-party shipment of loads. The driver will check daily assignments and responsibilities and utilize excellent customer relations with both internal and external customers.

Requirements

Ability to repetitively lift heavy merchandise of 50 lbs
No more than 2 traffic violations or 1 chargeable accident within the past three years
Knowledge of safe operation of a heavy truck
Knowledge of Federal, State, and local motor vehicle safety laws
Ability to communicate effectively with team members
Positive attitude when working with customers
Knowledge of employment and merchandise handling procedures
