About The Position

The Delivery Driver operates equipment and supports food preparation and order processing. The role stocks ingredients from the delivery area to storage, work areas, and the walk-in cooler; prepares products; receives and processes telephone orders; takes inventory; and completes related paperwork. The driver delivers products by car to customers’ doors, distributes flyers and door hangers, and must navigate the designated delivery area, including adverse terrain and multi-story buildings. The position also involves cleaning equipment and the facility approximately daily.

Requirements

• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly; a calculator may be used.
• Ability to make correct monetary change.
• Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
• Motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers to make precise movements rapidly and accurately.
• Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
• Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions.
• Ability to communicate verbally with customers and co-workers to process orders over the phone and in person.
• Navigational skills to read a map and locate addresses within the designated delivery area.
• Ability to navigate adverse terrain, including multi-story buildings, private homes, and other delivery sites, while carrying product.
