About The Position

The Delivery Driver delivers pizzas within a designated delivery area and may make several deliveries per shift. The role also assists in-store with tasks such as preparing products, processing orders, stocking ingredients, taking inventory, and cleaning equipment and the facility. Full training is provided. The position involves working independently and with others, providing customer service, and performing repetitive tasks while meeting quality standards.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Friendly, positive attitude and strong customer service skills.
• Valid driver's license.
• Reliable vehicle for deliveries.
• Proof of car insurance.
• Safe driving record meeting company standards.
• Navigational skills to read a map, locate addresses within the designated delivery area, and navigate adverse terrain, including multi-story buildings.
• Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions.
• Ability to communicate verbally with customers and co-workers to process orders by phone and in person.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly, using a calculator if needed.
• Ability to make correct monetary change.
• Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
• Motor coordination between eyes and hands or fingers to make precise movements rapidly and accurately.
• Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
• Ability to work alone and with others, work under stress, perform repetitive tasks, meet quality standards, deal with people, analyze and compile data, and make judgments and decisions.
• Ability to lift and handle deliveries weighing up to 50 pounds, with cases up to 3 feet by 1.5 feet, and stack cases on shelves up to 72 inches high.
• Ability to perform the described standing, walking, carrying, pushing, pulling, climbing, bending, crouching, reaching, and continuous hand-use tasks.
• Ability to talk and hear on the telephone and use near- and mid-range vision for most in-store tasks.
• Depth perception and ability to differentiate between hot and cold surfaces.

Responsibilities

• Deliver pizzas within the designated delivery area.
• Operate equipment and stock ingredients from the delivery area to storage, work areas, and the walk-in cooler.
• Prepare products.
• Receive and process telephone orders and take orders in person.
• Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
• Clean equipment and the facility approximately daily.
• Assist with in-store work when not making deliveries.
• Unload bulk product deliveries using a hand truck.
• Perform other outside tasks, including removing trash.
