About The Position
The Delivery Driver operates equipment, stocks ingredients, prepares products, receives and processes telephone orders, takes inventory, and completes associated paperwork. The role also includes cleaning equipment and the facility approximately daily. The driver delivers products by car to customers’ doors and distributes flyers and door hangers. The position requires navigating the designated delivery area, including adverse terrain, multi-story buildings, private homes, and other delivery sites while carrying products. The driver also communicates with customers and co-workers in person and by phone to process orders.
Requirements
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly; a calculator may be used.
- Ability to make correct monetary change.
- Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
- Motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers to make precise movements rapidly and accurately.
- Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
- Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions.
- Ability to communicate verbally with customers and co-workers in person and by phone to process orders.
- Navigational skills to read a map and locate addresses within the designated delivery area.
- Ability to navigate adverse terrain, including multi-story buildings, private homes, and other delivery sites, while carrying products.
