About The Position
This role involves operating equipment, stocking ingredients, preparing products, and receiving/processing telephone orders. The position also requires taking inventory, completing paperwork, and maintaining cleanliness of equipment and the facility. Key skills include accurate mathematical calculations, making correct change, strong verbal and written communication, and the ability to use a computer or touchscreen for order entry. The role also demands good hand-eye coordination for precise movements and the ability to comprehend and follow written instructions. Effective verbal communication with customers and coworkers is essential for processing orders both in person and over the phone. A significant part of the job includes delivering products by car to customer doors, distributing flyers and door hangers, and possessing navigational skills to read maps and locate addresses within the designated delivery area. The driver must be able to navigate various terrains, including multi-story buildings and private homes, while carrying product.
Requirements
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly (may use calculator).
- Must be able to make correct monetary change.
- Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
- Motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers to rapidly and accurately make precise movements with speed.
- Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
- Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions.
- Ability to communicate verbally with customers and co-workers to process orders both over the phone and in person.
- Navigational skills to read a map, locate addresses within designated delivery area.
Responsibilities
- Operate all equipment.
- Stock ingredients from delivery area to storage, work area, walk-in cooler.
- Prepare product.
- Receive and process telephone orders.
- Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
- Clean equipment and facility approximately daily.
- Make correct monetary change.
- Enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
- Deliver product by car and then to door of customer.
- Deliver flyers and door hangers.
- Navigate adverse terrain including multi-story buildings, private homes, and other delivery sites while carrying product.
