About The Position
Domino’s Delivery Drivers deliver pizzas within a designated area while providing friendly customer service. The role also includes in-store work, such as preparing products, processing telephone orders, stocking ingredients, taking inventory, completing paperwork, and cleaning. Full training is provided, and the position may offer opportunities to advance into management or franchise ownership. Drivers use their own reliable vehicle for deliveries and must navigate to addresses throughout the delivery area, including adverse terrain and multi-story buildings. The work involves operating store equipment and may require standing, walking, lifting and carrying supplies, pushing trays, climbing stairs, and repeatedly using hands and arms. Work conditions include varying weather, changing temperatures, food odors, cornmeal dust, cramped spaces, hot equipment, and sharp or moving parts.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Friendly, positive attitude and strong customer service skills.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Reliable vehicle for deliveries.
- Proof of car insurance.
- Safe driving record meeting company standards.
- Navigational skills to read a map, locate addresses in the delivery area, and navigate adverse terrain, including multi-story buildings.
- Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions.
- Ability to communicate verbally with customers and coworkers and process orders by phone and in person.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly; a calculator may be used.
- Ability to make correct monetary change.
- Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
- Motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers to make precise movements quickly and accurately.
- Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
- Ability to direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work alone and with others, work under stress, meet quality control standards, deal with people, analyze and compile data, and make judgments and decisions.
- Ability to lift and unload deliveries weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to carry items, push and pull trays, and climb stairs as required.
Responsibilities
- Deliver pizzas within the designated delivery area.
- Provide customer service and communicate with customers and coworkers in person and by phone.
- Operate store equipment.
- Stock ingredients from the delivery area to storage, work areas, and the walk-in cooler.
- Prepare products.
- Receive and process telephone orders.
- Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
- Clean equipment and the facility approximately daily.
- Carry pizzas and beverages during deliveries.
- Unload and stock ingredient and supply deliveries using a hand truck.
