About The Position

As a Delivery Driver, you will deliver and unload completed trucks, chassis, and parts to dealerships and other Dejana locations within the North East Region of the US. You will also be responsible for minor truck and trailer maintenance. This role requires effective use of maps and directions, accurate maintenance of daily driver logs, and performing pre- and post-check inspections of vehicles. Strong communication skills, a clean driving record, and safety awareness are essential. You will need to assess site locations for safe access and perform duties during inclement weather within safe operating standards.

Requirements

  • Team-player with a good work ethic (courteous, flexible, punctual and professional).
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English as required by federal regulations.
  • Able to follow oral and written instructions.
  • Level-headed, detail-oriented and safety conscious.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience.
  • Familiarity with manual logbooks.
  • Valid and clean driver's license.
  • Current DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate.
  • Eligible to work in the US.
  • Must pass background checks, MVR/drug/alcohol testing.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of major and minor highways.
  • Knowledge of federal motor carrier safety regulation and DOT guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver and unload completed trucks, chassis, and parts to dealerships and other Dejana locations.
  • Perform minor truck and trailer maintenance.
  • Effectively use maps and directions to ensure the most economical use of time and equipment.
  • Accurately maintain daily driver log book.
  • Perform pre-check and post-check inspections of vehicles as minor maintenance.
  • Have good communication skills (written and verbal) and the ability to follow instructions.
  • Maintain a clean driving record with a high level of safety awareness on the roadways.
  • Properly assess site locations in advance of truck delivery/pickup to ensure adequate access for safe operations.
  • Perform all responsibilities and duties during inclement weather within safe operating standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
