About The Position
The Delivery Driver operates equipment; stocks and rotates ingredients from delivery to storage, work areas, and the walk-in cooler; prepares products; receives and processes telephone and internet orders; counts inventory; completes paperwork; and cleans equipment and the facility. On-the-job training includes customer service orientation, an interactive computer program, and hands-on practice. The role requires safely driving the employee’s own vehicle and navigating roads, maps, adverse terrain, and delivery-site stairs while carrying products. The employee must be able to perform basic arithmetic accurately to make monetary change, with a calculator available if needed.
Requirements
- Ability to safely drive own vehicle.
- Ability to navigate roads and maps, adverse terrain, and delivery-site stairs while carrying products.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately to make monetary change; a calculator may be used.
- Ability to stand, walk, sit, lift, carry, push, climb ladders and stairs, stoop or bend, crouch or squat, and reach and grasp with hands.
- Ability to use machines, tools, equipment, and work aids.
- Ability to tolerate varying temperatures and conditions indoors and outdoors.
