About The Position

The Delivery Driver works in a fast-paced store environment, helping the team operate efficiently and deliver pizzas to customers as quickly and safely as possible. The role involves delivering orders in a personal vehicle as well as completing general store duties, including preparing products, processing orders, stocking ingredients, and maintaining equipment and the facility. Daytime and evening shifts are available, with scheduling that can accommodate one to five or six shifts per week. Orientation and on-the-job training are provided.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must have a reliable vehicle, proof of insurance, a valid driver's license, and a safe driving record.
• Ability to comprehend and provide correct written instructions.
• Ability to communicate verbally with customers and co-workers by telephone and in person.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly; may use a calculator.
• Ability to make correct monetary change.
• Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
• Motor coordination between eyes and hands or fingers to make precise movements rapidly and accurately.
• Ability to work alone and with others, perform repetitive tasks, work adequately under stress, meet quality standards, and make judgments and decisions.
• Ability to perform the listed physical activities and handle deliveries and supplies weighing up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Deliver products to designated locations using a personal vehicle; read maps, navigate routes, and locate addresses, including across adverse terrain.
• Operate store equipment and maintain store equipment.
• Stock ingredients and supplies from delivery areas to storage, work areas, and the walk-in cooler.
• Prepare products.
• Receive and process telephone orders, including entering orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
• Complete required paperwork.
• Clean equipment and the facility daily.
• Carry out training procedures for taking orders, labeling boxes, delivering products safely, and avoiding road hazards and distractions.
• Communicate with customers and co-workers to process orders by phone and in person, and help satisfy unhappy customers.
