About The Position
The Delivery Driver operates equipment, stocks ingredients, prepares products, receives and processes telephone orders, takes inventory, and completes related paperwork. The role also involves cleaning equipment and the facility approximately daily. The driver delivers products by car to customers’ doors and distributes flyers and door hangers. The role requires navigating the designated delivery area and delivery sites, including multi-story buildings and private homes, while carrying products. The position also involves communicating with customers and coworkers in person and by phone, processing orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen, handling money, and following written instructions.
Requirements
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly; a calculator may be used.
- Ability to make correct monetary change.
- Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
- Motor coordination between eyes and hands or fingers to make precise movements rapidly and accurately.
- Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
- Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions.
- Navigational skills to read a map and locate addresses within the designated delivery area.
- Ability to navigate adverse terrain and carry products at delivery sites.
