About The Position
The Delivery Driver operates equipment and performs general restaurant duties, including stocking and rotating ingredients from deliveries to storage and work areas, preparing products, receiving and processing telephone and internet orders, counting inventory, completing paperwork, and cleaning equipment and the facility. On-the-job training includes customer service orientation, an interactive computer program, and hands-on practice. The role requires communicating with customers and coworkers by phone and in person, safely driving the employee’s own vehicle, navigating roads and maps, and traversing adverse terrain and stairs at delivery locations while carrying products. The driver must be able to calculate monetary change accurately, with a calculator permitted.
Requirements
- Ability to comprehend and communicate verbally and in writing with customers and coworkers by phone and in person.
- Ability to safely drive a personal vehicle.
- Ability to navigate roads and maps, adverse terrain, and stairs while carrying products.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately to make correct monetary change; a calculator may be used.
- Ability to perform the physical demands of the role, including standing, walking, sitting, lifting, carrying, pushing, climbing ladders and stairs, stooping or bending, crouching or squatting, reaching, and grasping.
