About The Position

The Delivery Driver operates equipment and performs food preparation, stocking, order processing, inventory, cleaning, and delivery duties. The role includes receiving telephone orders, entering orders by computer keyboard or touch screen, and communicating with customers and co-workers in person and over the phone. The driver delivers products by car to customers’ doors, distributes flyers and door hangers, and navigates the designated delivery area, including adverse terrain and multi-story buildings. The stated starting rate is $20–$30 per hour. Information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.

Requirements

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly; a calculator may be used.
Ability to make correct monetary change.
Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
Motor coordination between eyes and hands or fingers to make precise movements rapidly and accurately.
Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions.
Navigational skills to read a map and locate addresses within the designated delivery area.

Responsibilities

Operate all equipment.
Stock ingredients from the delivery area to storage, work areas, and the walk-in cooler.
Prepare product.
Receive and process telephone orders.
Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
Clean equipment and the facility approximately daily.
Deliver product by car to customers’ doors.
Deliver flyers and door hangers.
Read maps and locate addresses within the designated delivery area.
Navigate delivery sites, including adverse terrain, multi-story buildings, and private homes.
Communicate with customers and co-workers to process orders in person and over the phone.
Enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
