About The Position

The Delivery Driver delivers pizzas within a designated delivery area and may make several deliveries per shift. The role also supports in-store operations, including preparing products, processing orders, stocking ingredients, and cleaning equipment and the facility. Full training is provided. The position involves customer interaction, teamwork, and working independently while driving.

Requirements

• Ability to read maps, locate addresses within the designated delivery area, and navigate adverse terrain, including multi-story buildings.

• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly; a calculator may be used.
• Ability to make correct monetary change.
• Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
• Motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers to make precise movements rapidly and accurately.
• Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.

• Ability to distinguish hot and cold surfaces; depth perception and near- and mid-range vision are needed for job tasks.

• Ability to lift and stock cases weighing up to 50 pounds, with dimensions up to 3' x 1.5'.
• Ability to carry items including cans weighing 3 pounds, 7 ounces; pizza sauce weighing 30 pounds; and pizza dough trays weighing approximately 12 pounds each.
• Ability to push or pull a stack of trays on a dolly requiring up to 7.5 pounds of force.
• Ability to infrequently navigate stairs or climb a ladder.
• Ability to bend, crouch, squat, and reach as required by stocking, cleaning, and food-preparation tasks.
• Continuous use of hands and eye-hand coordination; shaping pizza dough requires frequent, forceful use of forearms and wrists.
• Ability to work in varying and sometimes adverse weather conditions, changing temperatures, food odors, cornmeal dust, cramped spaces, hot surfaces and tools, sharp edges, and moving mechanical parts.

Responsibilities

• Deliver pizzas within the designated delivery area.
• Operate all equipment.
• Stock ingredients from the delivery area to storage, work areas, and the walk-in cooler.
• Prepare products.
• Receive and process telephone orders.
• Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
• Clean equipment and the facility approximately daily.
• Communicate with customers and co-workers to process orders over the phone and in person.
• Perform outside tasks, including removing trash.
• Unload bulk product deliveries using a hand truck and stock supplies.
• Move trays on dollies and perform occasional maintenance-related tasks such as changing prices on signs or washing walls.
