About The Position

This role involves operating equipment, stocking ingredients, preparing products, receiving and processing telephone orders, and maintaining cleanliness of equipment and the facility. Training, including orientation, will be provided on the job. Strong communication skills are essential for interacting with customers and co-workers, both verbally and over the phone. The position requires the ability to accurately perform basic mathematical calculations, make correct monetary change, and utilize computer systems for order entry. The work environment includes a range of temperatures, potential exposure to fumes and dust, and working in confined spaces. Sensory requirements include clear verbal communication, near and mid-range vision, depth perception, and the ability to discern temperature differences. Temperaments suited for this role include the ability to direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work both independently and collaboratively, handle stress, meet quality standards, interact with people, analyze data, and make decisions. Physical demands include standing, walking, sitting, lifting up to 50 pounds, carrying up to 30 pounds, pushing/pulling, climbing, frequent bending, crouching/squatting, reaching, and performing tasks requiring hand-eye coordination.

Requirements

  • Ability to communicate verbally with customers and co-workers to process orders both over the phone and in person.
  • Ability to add/subtract/multiply and divide accurately and quickly (may use calculator).
  • Must be able to make correct monetary change.
  • Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
  • Motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers to rapidly and accurately make precise movements with speed.
  • Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touchscreen.
  • Standing, walking, sitting, lifting up to 50 pounds, carrying up to 30 pounds, pushing/pulling trays on dollies, climbing, stopping/bending at the waist for 30-45 seconds repeatedly, crouching/squatting, reaching up/down/forward, performing hand tasks using hand-eye coordination, and utilize various tools, equipment, and work aids.

Responsibilities

  • Operate all equipment.
  • Stock ingredients from delivery area to storage, work area, and walk-in cooler.
  • Prepare product.
  • Receive and process telephone orders.
  • Clean equipment and facility daily.
