Requirements

Delivery driver experience and a proven track record in delivering good organizational results is expected
Thorough knowledge and ability to read, interpret, and understand other information is desirable
Ability to be part of an effective team, and motivate him/herself i.e., managing culture and morale
Ability to interact effectively at all organization levels is required
Some computer skills might be required
The ability to truck safely is must
Experience with loading and unloading trucks is required
Unquestionable ethical conduct in both business leadership and personnel dealings are an absolute requirement
Ability to define and resolve problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
Ability to read invoices is needed
Ability to take inventory accurately and record the data, as required
Must have ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from management
Air brake and class 3 licensing are required

Nice To Haves

Prior experience in bakery ingredients or a food-related business would be beneficial, but not a must
Beverage industry experience may apply
Previous Delivery Driver roles are beneficial
A well-rounded lifestyle and sense of humour, with an appreciation for diversity can be advantageous
Trucking experience preferred, but not required; with two to five years of related experience and/or training

Responsibilities

To load and unload product from the truck at the warehouse or customer locations
To rotate and put away stock at the customer’s premises
To complete and keep log books in an up to date order, meeting all transportation rules and regulations set forth by Provincial or Federal transportation departments
To complete daily safety checklists for vehicles
To turn in all paperwork, cheques, C.O.D.s, and customer returns on a daily basis
To report any damage or accidents immediately
Utilize cell phones for business use only
