About The Position

Domino’s is hiring delivery drivers to make deliveries in the designated area. Drivers use their own insured, registered vehicle and must meet the company’s driving-history standards. Along with delivery work, drivers periodically perform in-store tasks such as food preparation, cleaning, stocking, taking orders, and inventory-related work. On-the-job orientation and training are provided. The stated pay is $16.00 per hour, plus tips and mileage. The role involves operating store equipment, preparing products, processing telephone orders, and cleaning the facility and equipment. Drivers must communicate with customers and coworkers, handle transactions and monetary change, enter orders by computer keyboard or touchscreen, and navigate to delivery destinations, including multi-story buildings and other challenging sites. Work conditions include exposure to changing and sometimes adverse weather, food odors, cornmeal dust, temperature changes, cramped areas such as walk-in coolers, hot surfaces and tools, sharp edges, and moving mechanical parts. The work includes extended standing and continuous hand use, as well as walking, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, occasional climbing, bending, crouching, and reaching.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
Must have a valid driver's license and at least two years of licensed driving history in the United States, with documentation.
Must have an unsuspended or uninterrupted driving history for at least 1.5 years during the last two years.
Must meet the specified driving-record standards: no more than one violation and one at-fault accident in the last two years; no more than two violations and one at-fault accident in the last three years; no more than three violations in the last three years; and no more than one at-fault accident in the last three years.
Must have no distracted or inattentive driving violations within the last three years and no serious violations within the past five years.
Must have a safe driving record meeting company standards.
Must have access to an insured vehicle that can be used for delivery, be an insured driver on the vehicle’s insurance policy, and use a registered vehicle.
Must have customer-service and verbal, written, and telephone communication skills.
Must be able to read maps, locate addresses, and navigate adverse terrain, including multi-story buildings.
Must be able to understand and give correct written instructions.
Must be able to perform basic arithmetic accurately and quickly and make correct monetary change.
Must have motor coordination and eye-hand coordination to make precise movements quickly and accurately.
Must be able to use a computer keyboard or touchscreen to enter orders.
Must be able to perform the listed physical activities, including standing, walking, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, climbing, bending, crouching, reaching, and continuous hand use.
Must be able to lift and handle cases weighing up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Deliver orders within the designated delivery area.
Use navigation skills to read maps and locate addresses, including navigating multi-story buildings, private homes, and other delivery sites.
Perform in-store tasks periodically, including food preparation and cleaning.
Operate equipment and stock ingredients from delivery areas to storage, work areas, and walk-in coolers.
Prepare products and receive and process telephone orders.
Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
Clean equipment and the facility daily.
Enter orders using a computer keyboard or touchscreen and communicate with customers and coworkers in person and by telephone.
Unload bulk product deliveries using a hand truck and stock supplies on shelves.
Keep the delivery vehicle in safe operating condition and participate in periodic vehicle inspections.
