About The Position

Mayesh Wholesale Florist is seeking a dependable Delivery Driver to handle local deliveries, regional flower farm pickups, and warehouse operations. The role is responsible for safe transportation, proper product handling, and timely distribution. The schedule is Monday through Wednesday, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., and Friday, 8 a.m. to noon. Employees may need to work shifts of up to 12 hours when needed.

This safety-sensitive position involves operating company vehicles and performing duties that must be carried out safely and without impairment. The employee must comply with company safety, drug-free workplace, and applicable drug-testing policies. Work takes place in warehouse, delivery, and occasional outdoor or agricultural settings, including exposure to refrigerated coolers or trucks between 32°F and 45°F.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, crouch, or kneel for extended periods.
• Strong communication, customer service, organization, and time-management skills.
• Dependable, detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility to work shifts up to 12 hours when needed.
• Must satisfy applicable background checks and drug screening, consistent with company policy and applicable law.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• CDL is a plus.
• Large van or truck driving experience preferred.
• Experience using hand trucks, pallet jacks, or electric lifts preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate company vehicles under 26,000 lbs. GVW for scheduled deliveries and pickups.
• Secure, load, unload, and verify products to prevent damage and ensure accuracy.
• Plan routes using GPS and communicate delays to the SMFP Team Lead.
• Inspect vehicles, maintain driving logs, and report maintenance issues.
• Follow company safety policies and applicable transportation regulations.
• Perform warehouse operations and handle products for timely distribution.
• Perform duties safely and without impairment and comply with applicable drug-testing and safety policies.
• Ensure prescribed medications do not impair safe job performance.
