About The Position

The Delivery Driver operates equipment and supports food preparation, order processing, stocking, and daily cleaning. The role requires communicating with customers and co-workers in person and by telephone, handling monetary transactions accurately, and entering orders using a computer keyboard or touchscreen. On-the-job orientation and training are provided.

Work involves exposure to varying indoor and outdoor temperatures, food odors, cornmeal dust, confined spaces such as a walk-in cooler, hot surfaces up to 500 degrees or higher, sharp edges, and moving mechanical parts. The position requires a range of physical activities, including standing, walking, lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling, climbing, bending, crouching, reaching, and performing hand tasks with coordination.

Requirements

• Ability to communicate verbally with customers and co-workers to process orders in person and over the phone.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly; a calculator may be used.
• Ability to make correct monetary change.
• Verbal, writing, and telephone skills for taking and processing orders.
• Motor coordination between eyes and hands or fingers to make precise movements rapidly and accurately.
• Ability to use a computer keyboard or touchscreen to enter orders.
• Ability to direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work alone and with others, work under stress, meet strict quality standards, deal with people, analyze and compile data, and make judgments and decisions.
• Ability to perform the physical demands of the role, including lifting up to 50 pounds and carrying up to 30 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Prepare product.
