About The Position
Domino’s Delivery Drivers provide excellent customer service while transporting customers’ orders safely and promptly. They assemble, load, transport, and deliver items along assigned routes while following road-safety requirements. Drivers are expected to be polite, thorough, reliable, and committed to providing customers with a positive experience. The role also includes maintaining delivery and store areas, supporting kitchen tasks when necessary, and assisting with customer orders by phone, counter, or window. Reliable transportation, valid insurance, and a clean vehicle are required. Relevant training is provided on the job.
Requirements
- Reliable personal transportation that is kept clean and free of debris.
- Valid vehicle insurance.
- Able to read, understand, and follow a map.
- Able to pass criminal background and motor vehicle record checks.
- Texas Certified Food Handlers Certificate.
- Able to understand and work with numbers.
- Able to follow directions and achieve goals.
- Strong customer-service and interpersonal skills.
- Able to follow a schedule, arrive on time, wear the proper uniform, and work swiftly with smart hustle.
- Effective communication with a variety of clientele.
- Two years of driving experience and history for applicants age 18; one year for applicants age 19 or older.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent; helpful but not required.
- Customer-service experience; helpful but not required.
Responsibilities
- Arrive on time in complete uniform with a clean vehicle and a full tank of gas.
- Keep the car-top light on during deliveries.
- Assemble orders accurately, including extras such as dipping cups and sodas.
- Enter orders into the Pulse routing program within one minute of leaving the store.
- Move safely and promptly between the store, vehicle, and customers’ doors.
- Transport hot items in heat bags and cold items in plastic T bags.
- Load assigned orders into a clean, safe vehicle approved for Domino’s delivery.
- Drive safely, obey traffic laws, and follow assigned routes; do not make additional stops without permission.
- Collect customer payments, provide correct change, and collect signatures for credit and debit transactions.
- Track cash and receipts and balance them at the end of the shift; use the drop box to keep cash in the bank bag under $20 and do not keep money in the vehicle.
- Listen to and resolve customer complaints, suggestions, and inquiries.
- Keep the driver area stocked, organized, neat, and clean.
- Keep the box hutch and other box-stocking areas clean and stocked.
- At closing, check that the dining area is clean and stocked.
- Keep heat bags clean and free of rips and tears.
- Sweep regularly and mop when needed; mopping is required every night.
- Wash dishes when no dishwasher is on shift.
- Help cook and perform kitchen work when necessary as backup.
- Occasionally assist with phone, counter, or window orders.
- Perform general store cleaning.
