About The Position
Domino's is seeking delivery drivers to deliver products by car and to customers' doors within a designated delivery area. Drivers may also deliver flyers and door hangers. The role offers a flexible schedule and opportunities for advancement, including into management and franchise ownership. On-the-job orientation and training are provided. Team members may also perform general store duties, including operating equipment; stocking ingredients and supplies; preparing products; receiving and processing telephone orders; taking inventory and completing paperwork; and cleaning equipment and the facility. The job involves working in varying store temperatures and sometimes adverse weather, with exposure to food odors, cornmeal dust, hot surfaces, sharp edges, and moving mechanical parts. It requires standing for most tasks, frequent reaching and hand use, and may involve lifting deliveries weighing up to 50 pounds. Delivery work includes carrying pizzas and beverages, walking, driving, and navigating stairs or other terrain.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must have a valid driver's license and a safe driving record meeting company standards.
- Must have access to an insured vehicle that can be used for delivery.
- Must have navigational skills to read a map and locate addresses within the designated delivery area.
- Must be able to navigate adverse terrain, including multi-story buildings, private homes, and other delivery sites while carrying products.
- Ability to understand and give correct written instructions.
- Ability to communicate verbally with customers and co-workers by phone and in person.
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic accurately and quickly and make correct monetary change.
- Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
- Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
- Must be able to meet the physical demands of the role, including standing, walking, carrying, climbing, and frequent reaching and hand use.
Responsibilities
