Delivery Driver - 26' Box Truck
About The Position
The Common Market is hiring a full-time Delivery Driver to operate a 26-foot box truck and deliver local farm products from its Houston warehouse to customers in Houston, Austin, and San Antonio. The role supports local agriculture and food systems by ensuring timely deliveries and excellent customer service. Drivers navigate delivery routes, load and unload products, maintain delivery records and food-safety compliance, communicate with the office, and keep the truck in good working condition. The position pays $21 per hour, offers 35–45 hours of work each week, and includes the opportunity to earn an annual safe-driving bonus of up to $4,000.
Requirements
- At least one year of experience driving a 20-foot box truck or larger.
- Excellent driving record and commitment to safety.
- Experience loading and unloading using a lift gate, pallet jack, and hand truck.
- Ability to lift up to 55 pounds and remain on your feet for long periods.
- Flexibility to handle a variety of tasks and situations as they arise.
Responsibilities
- Drive a 26-foot box truck to deliver products to designated locations.
- Load and unload products manually as needed.
- Provide excellent customer service during deliveries.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and comply with food-safety standards.
- Communicate with the office regarding pickups, deliveries, and service issues.
- Perform vehicle inspections and keep the truck in good working condition.
