About The Position

Parts Authority is seeking a reliable, safety-focused Delivery Driver to support its Collision Auto Parts division. The driver operates a company van to deliver large and oversized collision parts, including bumpers, fenders, and hoods, to wholesale and retail customers. The role represents the company in daily customer interactions and requires professional service, careful handling of parts, and adherence to assigned routes, schedules, traffic laws, and company safety guidelines. Drivers inspect, secure, load, and unload parts, which may weigh up to 75 pounds, and complete delivery documentation. The position involves frequent vehicle entry and exit, extended periods of driving, and work in various weather conditions. Prior delivery experience is preferred but not required. Parts Authority describes itself as a rapidly expanding national distributor founded in 1973, with more than 300 locations.

Requirements

Valid state-issued driver’s license.
Clean driving record, subject to an MVR check.
Must be at least 21 years old due to an insurance requirement.
Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 75 pounds repeatedly.
Ability to enter and exit the delivery vehicle frequently throughout the day.
Ability to sit for extended periods while driving.
Ability to work in various weather conditions.
Basic verbal and written English communication skills.
Ability to manage, track, and account for money transactions and reconcile customer credit and debt balances.
Ability to use a tablet or mobile device for navigation, route optimization, tracking, and customer interface or signature capture.
Exceptional customer service and verbal communication skills, including communicating professionally with tact and diplomacy.
Ability to take and follow directions and work well with others as part of a team.
Must meet all stated minimum requirements, qualifications, and knowledge, skills, and abilities to be eligible to drive for Parts Authority.

Nice To Haves

Prior delivery experience is preferred but not required.
Previous delivery driving experience is a plus.
Flexible schedule and ability to work overtime as needed are preferred.
Basic familiarity with common collision parts and related components.

Responsibilities

Operate a company van to deliver large and oversized collision auto parts to wholesale and retail customers.
Load and unload parts weighing up to 75 pounds using proper lifting techniques.
Verify delivery accuracy, inspect parts before departure, and secure items for transport.
Communicate professionally with customers and document delivery issues.
Complete daily route sheets, delivery logs, and customer paperwork.
Maintain vehicle cleanliness and promptly report maintenance concerns.
Follow assigned routes and schedules, traffic laws, and company safety guidelines.
Promptly report incidents, damages, and safety concerns to management.
Represent the company courteously and provide customer-focused service.
Maintain basic familiarity with common collision parts and recognize related components to help confirm accurate deliveries.
Manage and account for money transactions and reconcile customer credit and debt balances.
Use a tablet or mobile device for navigation, route optimization, tracking, and customer interface or signature capture.
