About The Position

Daniels Health & Sharpsmart is hiring a full-time, permanent Delivery Driver to serve healthcare customer locations across the Allensville, Kentucky area. The driver operates a 26-foot box truck to collect sharps and medical waste containers and deliver the company’s products and services safely and on schedule. The role includes handling and organizing containers, loading and unloading the truck, complying with Department of Transportation requirements, and providing strong customer service. This Monday-to-Friday first-shift position is scheduled from 5:30 AM to 3:00 PM and is 45 hours per week. The stated pay rate is $23.50 per hour. The employer conducts background checks and drug testing after an offer.

Requirements

At least 2 years of delivery experience operating a 26-foot box truck.
Valid DOT medical card.
Pass a 7-year motor vehicle record (MVR) review.
Experience conducting pre-trip and post-trip vehicle evaluations.
Experience with DOT compliance, logging hours, and roadside inspections.
Can-do attitude and strong customer focus.
Proven longevity in previous employment.
Touch freight experience.

Background delivering medical or office equipment.

Responsibilities

Operate a 26-foot box truck safely.
Safely collect, deliver, and store medical waste containers at customer locations.
Provide strong customer service and build positive customer relationships.
Complete deliveries according to schedule and clearly communicate changes.
Load and unload the truck and organize it according to schedule needs.
Comply with DOT regulations, log hours, and complete roadside inspections.
Push and pull a four-wheeled cart weighing up to 200 pounds.
