About The Position

The Delivery Driver delivers pizzas within a designated delivery area and provides customer service while working both on the road and in the store. Team members receive training in deliveries, pizza preparation, and other store tasks, and may assist with a variety of in-store duties when not making deliveries. The position offers opportunities for career growth within Domino’s, including potential advancement to management and franchise ownership.

The role involves operating store equipment; stocking ingredients; preparing products; receiving and processing telephone orders; taking inventory and completing related paperwork; and cleaning equipment and the facility. Drivers may make several deliveries per shift and must be able to navigate to customer addresses, including through adverse terrain and multi-story buildings.

Work may involve varying weather, changing temperatures, food odors, cornmeal dust, cramped spaces, hot surfaces and tools, and sharp edges or moving mechanical parts. Physical activities include standing, walking short distances, driving, lifting and carrying supplies, pushing or pulling trays, occasional stair or ladder use, bending, crouching, reaching, and frequent hand use.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Friendly, positive attitude and strong customer service skills.
• Valid driver's license.
• Reliable vehicle for deliveries.
• Proof of car insurance.
• Safe driving record meeting company standards.
• Navigational skills to read a map, locate addresses within the delivery area, and navigate adverse terrain, including multi-story buildings.
• Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions and communicate verbally with customers and coworkers.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly, and make correct monetary change.
• Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
• Motor coordination between eyes and hands or fingers to make precise movements rapidly and accurately.
• Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
• Ability to direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work alone and with others, work under stress, meet quality control standards, deal with people, analyze and compile data, and make judgments and decisions.
• Ability to lift and move deliveries weighing up to 50 pounds, with cases up to 3 feet by 1.5 feet, and perform the other physical activities described for the role.
• Ability to talk and hear on the telephone, use near- and mid-range vision, perceive depth, and distinguish hot from cold surfaces.

Responsibilities

• Unload bulk deliveries using a hand truck and move supplies to storage or shelves.
