About The Position

Hog Slat, Inc., a provider of equipment and turnkey facilities to the swine and poultry industries, is seeking a Delivery Driver/Warehouse/Counter Sales Representative for its Iowa Falls, Iowa location. The role combines warehouse support, deliveries, store upkeep, and customer service. The representative works with customers to understand their needs and recommend suitable parts and equipment for modern poultry facilities. The employee must maintain and use a bio-security kit in their vehicle for farm visits.

Requirements

• Ability to use tools associated with repairing electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
• Knowledge of parts and equipment used in modern poultry facilities.
• General PC familiarity.
• Valid driver’s license and the ability to maintain a satisfactory driving record during employment.
• Ability to use Outlook Email, Word, and Excel for daily communications.
• Ability to become proficient in Hog Slat’s invoicing and inventory management software.

Nice To Haves

• At least one year of customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with shipping and receiving merchandise in the warehouse.
• Stock store shelves to maintain appropriate inventory levels.
• Deliver merchandise to customers’ farms and other Hog Slat locations.
• Help maintain a clean and organized storefront and warehouse.
• Work with Hog Slat customers to understand their needs.
• Recommend suitable parts and equipment available at Hog Slat to address customer needs.
• Maintain a bio-security kit in the vehicle and use the appropriate supplies during farm visits.
