About The Position

Fox Appliance Parts is seeking a Counter Sales Representative to provide excellent customer service, develop and share product knowledge, and deliver an efficient, positive customer experience. The role supports all aspects of branch operations, including warehouse work, receiving and shipping, showroom assistance, routine maintenance, warranty, counter sales, and inside sales. The position is located in Mobile, Alabama.

Requirements

Ability to lift 50 pounds, bend, stretch, stand for extended periods, reach, sit, and walk.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills and a strong customer-service focus.
Above-average organizational skills.
Ability to meet customer demand quickly and accurately.
Ability to follow directions from the immediate supervisor and management.
Working knowledge of appliances and HVAC.

Responsibilities

Assist with branch operations, including warehouse, receiving and shipping, showroom, routine maintenance, warranty, counter sales, and inside sales functions.
Serve in-store and telephone customers courteously and professionally.
Determine required replacement parts and provide technical information as needed.
Use computer and catalog lookups to identify replacement-part stock numbers and prices.
Advise customers about substitutions or changes to replacement parts.
Examine returned parts to determine their condition and eligibility for exchange or refund.
Maintain, monitor, clean, and stock inventory, merchandise displays, and work areas.
Enter sales orders accurately and efficiently into the computer system.
Process end-of-day cash reporting and reconciliation.
Manage shipments and delivery of goods and services.
Establish and maintain relationships with individual and business customers and help resolve problems they encounter.
Open and/or close the store at scheduled hours.
Fill in for the Branch Manager when absent.
