About The Position

Holdahl Company, a division of Würth Baer Supply Company, is hiring a Delivery Driver/Warehouse Associate for its Sioux Falls, South Dakota facility. This permanent, full-time, direct-hire role combines deliveries with warehouse work; the balance varies by day, and deliveries take priority. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., with an eight-hour shift. Compensation is $22.00 per hour, paid biweekly. The role ensures customer orders reach customers accurately, safely, and on time in the Sioux Falls area, northwest Iowa, and other destinations as needed. Drivers represent the company in customer interactions and relay customer feedback and needs to the branch team. When not driving, the associate supports warehouse operations, including receiving, put-away, order picking and packing, auditing, cycle counts, and cleaning. The daily routine includes auditing and loading orders before planned morning deliveries, completing on-demand deliveries and additional scheduled runs after returning, supporting warehouse work between runs, and recording travel and fuel and completing a post-trip inspection at the end of the day. The position uses a company mobile phone and the Samsara Driver App for vehicle inspections and compliance with company procedures and DOT regulations. A 10-panel drug test, including testing for THC, is required before employment; a criminal background check is not required for this role.

Requirements

Valid driver's license.
Safe driving record, with no DUIs, suspensions, or reckless driving.
Reliable transportation to commute to the facility.
Ability to safely lift 70 pounds unassisted.
Relevant experience in a warehouse or distribution environment.
Ability to safely operate a Ford Transit or similar van approximately 20 feet long and 8 feet high.
Comfort wearing a company uniform and protective composite- or steel-toe footwear.
Comfort using a company mobile phone and Samsara application for vehicle inspections and driving-related procedures.
Ability to follow state and federal DOT standards and company driving-safety requirements.
Successful completion of the required 10-panel pre-employment drug test, which includes THC testing; positive tests for any form of THC fail the test, with no stated exceptions.

Sit-down propane forklift experience is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

Securely load the vehicle in delivery sequence to protect products and simplify unloading.
Complete planned route deliveries, on-demand deliveries, and additional scheduled runs.
Deliver in the Sioux Falls area, northwest Iowa, and other destinations as needed by the customer base.
Collect proof of delivery at every stop.
Drive safely and courteously in compliance with traffic laws and company policy.
Plan and sequence daily delivery stops efficiently, and adjust routes for traffic, weather, or road conditions.
Record daily travel and fuel.
Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and promptly report maintenance needs.
Use the Samsara Driver App in accordance with company procedures and DOT regulations.
Receive inbound product and put away inventory.
Pick, package, and audit customer orders; complete cycle counts; and clean the warehouse.
Maintain a professional appearance and conduct when representing the company.
Engage with customers, answer routine questions, and relay feedback, requests, and opportunities to the branch team.
Consult the branch supervisor about delivery changes affecting customer commitments, damaged, short, or refused product, unsafe conditions, and non-routine customer concerns.
Obtain approval for deliveries outside the normal service area or beyond the scheduled shift, vehicle repair or maintenance expenses, and overtime.
