About The Position

Missouri Furniture Inc is looking for a Delivery Driver Trainee to join our team! Gain the knowledge and experience to safely operate a box truck and become an important part of our team. As a Delivery Driver Trainee, you will learn all the rules and regulations required to safely operate a box truck and assist in delivering household goods to our clients. After a two-week training period, you will confidently take the required testing in Missouri to obtain your Class E Drivers License. This position is right for you if you are self-motivated, energetic, and enjoy helping people. Ideally, you are driven to provide the highest level of customer service and satisfaction and able to effectively manage a variety of situations on a day-to-day basis.

Requirements

Must have a valid Missouri Drivers license and clean driving record
Excellent organizational skills
Must be able to work independently and with a team
Must have excellent time management skills
Ability to communicate effectively and maintain effective relationships with current customers and vendors
Must be able to lift and move a minimum of 50 to 100lbs.

Responsibilities

After a two-week training period, obtain your Missouri Class E Drivers License
Deliver a wide variety of items to different addresses and different routes
Follow route and schedule
Load, unload, prepare, inspect and operate delivery vehicle
Ability to operate forklifts and pallet jack in a variety of weather and traffic conditions
Follow DOT regulations and safety standards
