Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
  • Candidates must be 21 years or older.
  • No prior experience necessary, but a keen interest in pursuing a CDL A license and a delivery driver career is highly encouraged.
  • Must be able to pass the Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) standards to meet hiring and insurability criteria.
  • Strong comprehension of basic warehouse and delivery operations.
  • Frequently lift and move up to 50 pounds and occasionally more.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain balance and coordination while maneuvering a loaded two-wheel cart down ramps.
  • Regular attendance is crucial.
  • Must successfully complete a background check.
  • Must successfully complete a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check.
  • Must successfully complete a pre-employment lift evaluation.
  • Must successfully complete a pre-employment DOT drug screening.

Responsibilities

  • Manually unload products using a two-wheel cart on metal truck ramps.
  • Work in the truck's cooler and freezer sections.
  • Check customer invoices.
  • Complete essential temperature checks to guarantee the quality of food products.
  • Perform safety inspections of the truck and trailer.
  • Establish effective relationships within the department and community.
  • Work towards obtaining a Class A permit within 30-60 days.
  • Prepare for the Class A license test.
  • Take on additional assignments as directed by management.
