About The Position

Heatable is revolutionizing the heating oil industry with a user-friendly app and website for easy ordering, coupled with advanced delivery technology for speed and efficiency. This role is crucial in maintaining our commitment to exceptional customer service. The Delivery Driver will be responsible for safely, efficiently, and courteously delivering heating oil to customers, representing Heatable's brand, maintaining customer property, and contributing to a positive work environment.

Requirements

Must be at least 21 years of age.
Successfully complete Driver training and obtain a Class B Commercial Driver’s License with hazardous materials endorsement.
Pass a D.O.T. physical.
Subject to pre-employment and random drug testing.

Nice To Haves

Apprentice oil burner license is required for oil delivery drivers who prime furnaces in the state of Maine.

Responsibilities

Perform daily safety checks of the delivery vehicle and report any necessary repairs.
Review daily manifest, load truck, and make deliveries safely and productively, adhering to federal, state, and company regulations.
Follow all established delivery standards, focusing on customer service, efficiency, and productivity.
Actively participate in delivery driver meetings (huddles).
Communicate effectively with Delivery Center dispatchers and routing specialists, proactively reporting customer concerns or other issues.
Maintain a neat personal appearance, including a clean uniform.
Become proficient in using the Raven handheld device.
Promote good customer relations through professional interactions and respect for customer property.
Maintain a clean and organized truck stocked with appropriate tools and safety equipment, adhering to truck safety standards.
Prime furnaces for customers out of oil or perform leak tests and light pilots for customers out of propane.
Embrace growth opportunities through cross-training or supporting other departments as needed.
Deliver a 'wow' customer experience by ensuring speedy deliveries, being friendly, and maintaining a clean truck and uniform.
Proactively go above and beyond to surprise customers and encourage recommendations.
