Delivery Driver/RX Tech, Back End Part Time (Night Shift)
About The Position
Omnicare is a leading provider of pharmacy services to long-term care facilities nationwide, supporting skilled nursing facilities, assisted living communities, and other institutional care settings. Following the sale of Omnicare by CVS Health, this role will support Omnicare and its continued operations as an independent, standalone organization. Candidates should be aware that this role will not remain within CVS Health following the transaction. The individual hired into this role will be employed by Omnicare and will contribute to shaping the future of our organization during this exciting period of growth and transformation. As a Pharmacy Technician/Delivery Driver with Omnicare, you'll split your time between our closed-door pharmacy and the road — helping fill, stage, and verify orders inside the building, or delivering them to the long-term care communities we serve. You will work to ensure all medication needs and regulatory standards are met for our patients, both in the pharmacy and in the field.
Requirements
- Certification/licensed/registered pharmacy technician or as required by state law
- One (1) or more years of experience as a pharmacy technician or equivalent experience
- High School Diploma or GED
- Current, valid driver's license in the state at the level required for the vehicle's operation
- Geographical knowledge of the service area
- Flexibility required nights and weekends
- Ability to drive for long periods of time
- Customer service orientation
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience in the long-term care industry
- Previous experience as a Delivery Driver
- PTCB National Certification
- Five (5) or more years of experience as a pharmacy technician or equivalent experience
Responsibilities
- Rotating through assigned pharmacy workstations including: Packaging, Staging, Returns, Narcotics, IV, Ekit, Compounding, Omnicell, Machine Packaging, sterile and non-sterile compounding
- Providing timely and accurate delivery of medication, equipment, products and/or supplies to long-term care facilities or patients' homes on a predetermined route in a company-provided vehicle
- Loading products/materials and maintaining the assigned vehicle, alerting management to any maintenance issues
- Maintaining full compliance with all Federal, State, and Local laws and regulations, including HIPAA, and maintaining patient confidentiality at all times
