About The Position

Rheem is seeking a Delivery Driver/Material Handler to join its Des Moines team. The position primarily involves pulling products for customer orders while also working as a Non-CDL Delivery Driver. The employee prepares shipments, stages and loads trucks, supports route drivers as needed, and follows safety procedures throughout the work. The stated start time is 7:30 AM.

Requirements

• Have a valid driver's license and a good driving record in accordance with company policy.
• Have high attention to detail and strong math skills to ensure accuracy.
• Be able to follow directions and safe operating procedures.
• Be able to repeatedly lift up to 50 pounds throughout the shift without assistance; weight varies by product.
• Be able to work on one's feet, including walking for extended periods.
• Be willing to work overtime as needed.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working in a fast-paced distribution or warehouse environment is preferred but not required.
• Ability to be trained to use forklifts and other warehouse machinery.

Responsibilities

• Drive a non-CDL truck and follow company safety procedures.
• Accurately pull orders assigned for daily deliveries.
• Support route drivers as needed.
• Stage orders according to truck location and verify the accuracy of pallets and other items.
• Load trucks for daily and special deliveries.
• Use power equipment, including forklifts.
• Recognize damaged product at any point in the process and take appropriate action.
• Assist customers and/or drivers with loading materials into vehicles and trucks.
• Perform housekeeping duties and other assigned duties.
