Requirements

Ability to interact effectively at all organization levels is required.
The ability to truck safely is must.
Experience with loading and unloading trucks is required.
Unquestionable ethical conduct in both business leadership and personnel dealings are an absolute requirement.
Ability to define and resolve problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Trucking experience with five years of related experience and/or training.
Air brake and class 3 licensing are required.
Drivers abstract must be provided by applicants.
Ability to read invoices is needed.
Ability to take inventory accurately and record the data, as required.
Must have ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from management.
Regularly required to sit, talk, and hear.
Occasionally required to stand; walk; use hands to lift heavy objects, handle, feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 80 pounds or more.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience in bakery ingredients or a food-related business would be beneficial, but not a must.
Beverage industry experience may apply.
Previous Delivery Driver roles are beneficial.
Some computer skills might be required.
A well-rounded lifestyle and sense of humour, with an appreciation for diversity can be advantageous.

Responsibilities

To load and unload product from the truck at the warehouse or customer locations
To rotate and put away stock at the customer’s premises
To complete and keep log books in an up to date order, meeting all transportation rules and regulations set forth by Provincial or Federal transportation departments
To complete daily safety checklists for vehicles
To turn in all paperwork, cheques, C.O.D.s, and customer returns on a daily basis
To report any damage or accidents immediately
