About The Position

The Assembly and Delivery employee supports production, shipping, receiving, and logistics operations by assembling components, preparing shipments, maintaining inventory accuracy, and transporting materials and finished goods. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to follow technical instructions and work orders. This position also includes regularly operating a company pickup truck with trailer (non-CDL) to pick up and deliver parts, materials, and finished goods to customers, vendors, and partner facilities. The employee must safely load, transport, and unload materials while maintaining accurate documentation and representing the company professionally during deliveries and vendor interactions.

  • Ability to safely operate a company pickup truck and trailer (non-CDL) for deliveries and vendor pickups.
  • Must maintain eligibility to operate company vehicles in accordance with company vehicle policy.
  • High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform basic sheet metal tasks including deburring, spot facing, riveting, trimming panels, and similar fabrication activities.
  • Assemble components and products according to work orders, drawings, and assembly instructions.
  • Perform minor electrical assembly as required.
  • Read and interpret instructions, manuals, schematics, and drawings to complete assemblies accurately.
  • Maintain organization of tools, parts, and work areas to ensure efficient workflow.
  • Process orders with a high level of attention to detail in both product counts and shipping documentation.
  • Pack and prepare shipments to ensure safe transport of products.
  • Pull parts for delivery or shipping based on order quantities and documentation.
  • Move materials and products throughout the facility to support production flow.
  • Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment (training provided).
  • Pack, unpack, and move boxes, components, and materials as needed.
  • Operate a company pickup truck with trailer (non-CDL) to pick up and deliver parts, materials, and finished goods to customers, vendors, and partner facilities.
  • Safely load, secure, transport, and unload materials using proper lifting techniques and securement methods.
  • Verify shipments and delivery contents against packing slips or purchase orders during pickups and deliveries.
  • Ensure deliveries and pickups are completed accurately, safely, and on schedule.
  • Maintain delivery records and documentation as required.
  • Conduct basic pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the company vehicle and trailer.
  • Maintain cleanliness and basic upkeep of the company vehicle and trailer.
  • Communicate with internal teams regarding delivery schedules, pickup needs, and transportation issues.
  • Represent the company professionally when interacting with customers, vendors, and suppliers during deliveries and pickups.
  • Maintain compliance with all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support operations.
