About The Position

AEXP Express Corporation, a leader in Contract Delivery Service for the United States Postal Service, is seeking applicants for a mail delivery driver/mail carrier on a United States Postal Service mail route in Crystal River, FL. This is a full-time position, Monday to Saturday, with estimated hours of 8:00 am to 8:00 pm, though typically less than 12 hours a day. The contractor will be responsible for sorting mail and packages, loading them into a delivery vehicle, and delivering them to customer boxes along an assigned route. This role requires the ability to work in all weather conditions and may involve dismounting for specific deliveries. Administrative duties are also part of the role. The contractor will provide their own vehicle and is expected to drive approximately 50 miles per day on a 25-mile delivery route. Payment is $360 per day as a 1099 contractor, paid monthly.

Requirements

• Must have legal documentation to work in the United States
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must have a valid driver's license
• Must be able to lift 70 pounds
• Must be able to work and safely drive in all types of weather conditions
• Must reside in the area or neighboring town/city of Crystal River, FL
• Must have a qualifying vehicle (Minivan/Cargo Van with at least 120 cubic feet of cargo capacity & less than 5 years old) and minimum liability insurance.

• Former USPS employees/contractors (Highly Recommended)
• Candidates with Minivans and Cargo Vans without a center console for passenger side mailbox delivery (It will be hard to do the route if you do not meet this recommendation but still possible)
• Must be available to start immediately

Responsibilities

• Sorting mail and packages in delivery sequence for active mailboxes
• Loading mail and parcels in delivery sequence into a delivery vehicle
• Delivering mail and packages to customer boxes along an assigned line-of-travel
• Dismounting if required to deliver parcels, Express mail, and other accountable mail items
• Other administrative duties are required
