About The Position

A delivery assistant is responsible for ensuring a quick and efficient load out process by using STORIS to control inventory movements as necessary. Delivery assistants are also responsible for running daily reports that are sent to the delivery managers to monitor and use for effective coaching. Throughout the workday, delivery assistants are also responsible for real time monitoring of delivery trucks to ensure that all delivery issues are remedied in a timely manner.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Must be 18 years of age.
  • Strong computer skills with previous experience in Microsoft Office.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Skilled in verbal and written communication.
  • Must be able to pass a preplacement background check and drug test.

Responsibilities

  • Inputting the driver/helper names in DispatchTrack for routes run by Gardner-White employees and contractors, and adding the truck number for each employee route.
  • Adjusting routes and modifying time frames in Dispatch Track when necessary.
  • Creating and routing overflow trucks in DispatchTrack when necessary.
  • Completing oversight of DOT related needs, including following up with NTCI on file needs such as renewing licenses, renewing DOT medical cards, properly filling out driver applications, and annual reviews.
  • Monitoring the “Home Damage” report and contacting all customers to come to an immediate resolution by offering compensation or service.
  • Researching and verifying all orders for the “Not Home” report which is sent to store leadership to reduce multiple attempt deliveries.
  • Following up on all undelivered items and orders from the day prior using DispatchTrack. Calling the customer to reschedule or communicating to the corresponding store for customer resolution within 24 hours for orders that are written up wrong or cancelled. Sending emails to the fulfillment department to have invoicing errors corrected when necessary.
  • Going through assigned trucks from the previous days' deliveries in DispatchTrack to ensure that signatures and pictures have been taken. Sending daily emails to delivery managers to address teams that are not complying.
  • Putting new pieces in the gun during load out that need to be re-picked due to damage.
  • Monitoring and addressing customer emails sent to delivery support.
  • Notifying stores, reps, and customer experience of order errors and advising on corrections if the system credentials are not available to fix them.
  • Correcting all orders for the day of delivery that have wrong addresses to prevent the order from being rescheduled.
  • Filling orders and breaking down kits during load out.
  • Interacting with customers via Podium throughout the day, which involves customer resolution for issues with their orders, including wrong addresses, the need to reschedule, and unfavorable time frames.
  • Contacting drivers if they have left over products in their bay that should be out for delivery.
