About The Position

Under the direction of the Operations Manager, the Delivery and Warehouse Associate is responsible for supporting all aspects of warehouse operations and product delivery. This role includes receiving, returns processing, inventory put-away, order picking, packing, shipment manifesting, and delivery of products to customers. The position plays a key role in ensuring accurate inventory management, timely deliveries, and excellent customer service.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret purchase orders and bill of ladings.
  • Ability to write business correspondence via email and effectively communicate by phone with vendors regarding shipment errors and return of product.
  • Ability to respond effectively to questions from managers, vendors, and coworkers.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills with the ability to maintain accurate inventory and shipping records.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
  • Ability to operate a computer, fork-lift certified, work with minimal supervision, follow directions, and work under pressure.
  • Effective problem solving, resolution skills, and ability to exercise good judgement.
  • Demonstrated customer services skills, ability to relate effectively and tactfully with all levels of the organization.
  • Commitment to and demonstration of high ethical standards governing professional behavior and interactions.

  • This position may require employee to operate Company provided vehicle or their own personal vehicle to conduct work-related business and therefore requires a valid drivers license, clean DMV record and current vehicle registration.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver products to customers using company cargo vans and box trucks as needed.
  • Unload, break down, and sort inbound shipments accurately and efficiently.
  • Verify incoming products against packing slips and purchase orders.
  • Receive inventory into the ERP system and resolve discrepancies with internal teams and external vendors.
  • Accurately enter lot numbers and expiration dates.
  • Label products with UPC codes when necessary to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Stock shelves and organize inventory.
  • Perform shipment manifesting functions.
  • Accurately invoice customers for products being shipped using computerized shipping software.
  • Provide shipping quotes and shipment information to internal customer service representatives.
  • Track packages through carriers including UPS, Spee-Dee Delivery, and FedEx.
  • Ability to prepare paperwork, coordinate, and ship LTL, USPS, and international orders.
  • Accurately pick products from inventory to fulfill orders.
  • Package products carefully to ensure safe and accurate delivery to customers.
  • Pull, pack, and assist with carryout orders for customers as needed.
  • Perform light assembly, production work, and other warehouse-related projects as assigned.
  • Assist with weekly cycle counts.
  • Create load sheets and ensure all delivery paperwork is complete and accurate.
  • Maintain working knowledge of the abas ERP system, GLI TMS, and Digital Shipper TMS software.
  • Obtain 49 CFR Hazardous Materials Certification within three months of hire.
