Deli Supervisor
About The Position
Woodlands Market, Marin's premier upscale grocery store, has openings for Deli Clerk Supervisor! Deli Clerk Supervisor are essential to the Woodlands Market team! Candidates are responsible for maintaining an effective positive, amicable, upbeat customer service style, for answering all customer questions accurately and kindly, and receiving and acting upon deli phone orders. Candidates will utilize a standardized choice methodology to prepare and deliver customer specified sandwiches and deli items, as well as observe standard operating procedures of safety and cleanliness including slicing, knife protocol, no eating in front of customers anywhere behind counter, and wearing gloves at all times when handling product. Candidates will help maintain cleanliness/aesthetic of the deli case, and will take part in periodic cleanings of the deli cases, counters and deli areas. Candidates will make sure all employees take breaks accorrdingly and that the deli runs smoothly after the Manager has left for the day.
Requirements
- Excellent verbal and customer service skills
- Excellent multi-tasking skills / able to prioritize work and handle multiple, concurrent tasks
- Self-starter, taking initiative to get work done even when not supervised
- Basic food preparation and kitchen work flow
- Knowledge of weights and measures
- Personnel management and supervision
Responsibilities
