About The Position

The Deli & Retail Manager oversees all operations at the Wheat Montana Three Forks Deli and Retail Store, ensuring efficiency, quality, customer satisfaction, and profitability. This role is responsible for front-of-house (FOH), back-of-house (BOH), and retail store operations, including staff management, purchasing, inventory control, food safety, and financial performance.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Point of Sale (POS) systems.
  • Ability to work in a physically active role, lift 25 lbs., and stand for prolonged periods.
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalency.
  • 5+ years of restaurant/retail experience, with at least 3 years in the food industry.
  • 3+ years of experience leading and developing teams.

Responsibilities

  • Hire, train, schedule, and supervise employees across all areas, ensuring adherence to company policies and high service standards.
  • Manage food preparation, cooking, packaging, and counter operations, ensuring efficiency and compliance with food safety regulations.
  • Maintain stock levels, oversee product rotation, minimize waste, and ensure accurate pricing and labeling of deli and retail products.
  • Analyze profit and loss statements, track sales, and implement strategies to improve performance and control costs.
  • Address customer inquiries and complaints, ensuring a positive and welcoming store environment.
  • Develop and execute promotional strategies to increase sales and attract new customers.
  • Ensure cleanliness, equipment maintenance, and adherence to food safety and workplace safety standards.
  • Complete necessary reports, track inventory, and ensure compliance with company policies and operational goals.
