Individuals applying for this position should be willing to make lasting connections with our customers, prepare products including a variety of vegetables, sauces and main meals (you may have to handle pork), fill and rotate cases and displays with food products (may be some heavy lifting-up to 50lbs), make sure all supplies needed are available, plate prepared foods by Kitchen / Deli Manager’s guidance, work with servers and other employees to ensure orders are completed according to request, prepare and cook menu items on the grill to order, ensuring proper temperature and presentation, coordinate with others in the kitchen to make sure food is ready at the right time, in the right order so that it arrives fresh, comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards, ensure dates are properly tracked on open and closed products, adhere to portion controls and waste reduction guidelines, and be a part of a dedicated team that enjoys their job, arrives promptly for shifts, and works as scheduled.
