About The Position

This position involves a variety of tasks related to the deli department, including stocking, pricing, packaging, cleaning, and product preparation. The role requires adherence to safety policies, proper use of equipment, and maintaining a clean work environment. Some tasks may involve working in temperature extremes and lifting heavy items. The position may also include cake decorating, receiving deliveries, and ordering products in the absence of a manager.

Requirements

Standing and/or walking at a rapid pace for extended periods of time to perform essential job functions.

Responsibilities

Rotates, stocks and straightens merchandise and supplies.
Correctly prices all merchandise according to departmental guidelines.
Performs basic housekeeping duties using available equipment.
Operates all required tools and equipment in a safe manner.
Cleans all required deli-bakery department tools and equipment.
Follows proper procedure for producing all bakery/deli products.
Maintains a neat and clean work area.
Receives and unloads truck deliveries using available equipment and according to established guidelines.
Orders product according to established guidelines in the absence of deli manager.
Other duties as assigned.
